I'm trying to evaluate MongoDB Atlas on GCP, and had a few basic questions regarding joins.

• What the different types of joins supported ?
• Are these joins supported in a sharded cluster as well ?

I see a few people trying to use joins on MongoDB, though i believe it might not be the most natural use-case for MongoDB

Update : Anyone used MongoDB + Rockset, seems Rockset + MongoDB Atlas can be used to enable complex SQL joins . pls see link : https://www.mongodb.com/presentations/joins-and-aggregations-using-real-time-indexing-on-mongodb-atlas
