Html: How to hide certain text in an article from Google robots?
My question is: How to hide certain text of an article from google robots to read? And, is it harmful to do so?
Reason/Background: I write a blog. On most blog posts, I have a small disclosure notice ("Some of these links are affiliate + ...") I have to have this disclosure by law and ethics. The problem is, Google usually uses this disclosure as a meta description in google search results. Obviously, that is not good for SEO, and it is probably the worst and least engaging meta description I can possibly have lol. I also find this weird as I have written a good meta description (and title) that follows all the "rules". I use Yoast SEO. I think my only solution to this problem is to hide this small disclosure from google robots to read so that people can read it, but google can't and therefore wont use it as a meta description. Is this possible? How? Do you believe it's a chance this "hiding" can be harmful to my web page and SEO?
For other solutions: I write my articles through WordPress editor, all the text is regular "p-blocks" directly written in the program, the exception is the disclosure which I have personally written as a HTML-block. The disclosure is often the 3-4. paragraph, so it's definitely not the first thing on the page. I find it weird that google uses this disclosure, positioned far down on the page, as description as it, compared to all the other text on the page, is the only text that has nothing to do with the article theme/focus-keywords/content. Could this be the reason?
I really appreciate your time and answer to my main questions, and if you have any other thoughts or solutions I highly appreciate that as well! :)
