Location:  80% Remote 20% Office (required to travel in southwest England)

They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced FinOps Engineer to join their team and spearhead the implementation of their AWS FinOps platform. This role is pivotal in ensuring cost efficiency and optimisation across the company's AWS infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
• Dashboard Development: Build and maintain targeted AWS CUDOS dashboards to provide comprehensive cost visibility for all stakeholders, from management to engineers.
• Data Enrichment: Configure AWS Athena to enrich billing data, enabling the billing team to perform more accurate chargebacks to operating teams.
• Cost Optimisation Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to extend our coverage of savings plans for compute and Reserved Instances (RIs) for RDS, plus increasing our discount savings rate.
• Best Practices Library: Create a library of best practices to guide engineers in optimising their workloads and the services they use.

Qualifications:
• Proven Experience: Demonstrated track record in FinOps roles, with a strong understanding of financial operations in cloud environments.
• AWS Expertise: Preferable bias towards AWS, with hands-on experience with AWS’s Billing and Cost console, the Cost and Usage Report (CUR) and AWS CUDOS.
• Strategic Implementation: Solid knowledge and experience in implementing savings plans and RI strategies.
• Certification: FinOps certification is highly desirable.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex billing data and provide actionable insights.
• Communication & Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings to stakeholders.
• Language: Good level of written and spoken English
