We have a client who is searching for a Senior Full Stack Software Developer to join their team. They are looking for someone who is highly skilled and motivated, with expertise in Symfony/Core (PHP), ReactJS (JavaScript), MySQL, and New Relic (not essential).

The position is based in Tangmere, West Sussex, but for the right candidate, they are open to considering fully remote work options.

Role Description

The ideal candidate will excel in developing and maintaining high-quality web applications using Symfony/Core PHP and ReactJS. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to deploy new features and enhancements, while also taking initiative to troubleshoot and debug complex issues and optimize application performance. The candidate should demonstrate a strong ability to utilize monitoring tools, write clean code following best practices, and stay updated with industry trends. Additionally, they will actively participate in code reviews and take ownership of tasks and projects.

Qualifications

• Advanced skills in Symfony/Core PHP.
• Extensive knowledge of ReactJS or other JavaScript frameworks.
• Proficient in MySQL database administration.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like New Relic or equivalents.
• Demonstrated capability to function effectively both autonomously and collaboratively in a dynamic work setting.
• Flexibility and openness to acquiring and using new technologies and frameworks as necessary.
• Strong communication abilities to successfully interact with team members and key stakeholders.

Good to have

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience is required.
• Solid grasp of web security principles and best practices.
• Experience with AWS services and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles is beneficial.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools like Jira is preferred.
